1979 to 1982: President of the Association of Architects of Senegal
- During this period, he led the Association of Architects of Senegal, playing a crucial role in promoting and regulating the architectural profession in Senegal.

1992: Member of the International Academy of Architecture
- He was inducted into this prestigious academy, recognizing his expertise and influence in the field of architecture on an international scale.

1995: Honorary President of the Union of African Architects (U.A.A.)
- As Honorary President, he was recognized for his significant contributions to architecture and urban planning across the African continent, encouraging collaboration and innovation among African architects.

1997: Man of the Year in Gambia
- He was honored by Gambia as "Man of the Year," a distinction that highlights his positive impact and notable achievements in the country.

2000: Man of the Year in Senegal
- This recognition as "Man of the Year" in Senegal highlighted his exceptional contributions to national development and his leadership in various fields.

2002: Man of the Year in Equatorial Guinea
- He was named "Man of the Year" in Equatorial Guinea, marking a new recognition of his influence and achievements in Africa.

2000 to 2012: Minister and Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Senegal
- During this period, he served as Minister and Special Advisor, providing his expertise and strategic advice at the highest level of the Senegalese government.

2010: Man of the Year in Senegal
- A second recognition as "Man of the Year" in Senegal, underscoring the continuity of his impact and significant contributions to the country.

2016 to 2019: President of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM)
- As President of the BRVM, he oversaw the operations and development of the regional financial market, strengthening investor confidence and economic stability.

2019: Presidential Candidate in Senegal
- He participated in the presidential elections, reflecting his political engagement and desire to further contribute to Senegal's development.

2020: Vice-President of the Senegalese Investors Club
- As Vice-President, he played a key role in promoting investments and supporting entrepreneurship in Senegal, encouraging economic growth and innovation.

2022: President of the Senegalese Investors Club
- Architect Pierre Goudiaby Atépa is the new president of the Senegalese Investors Club (CIS), a group of Senegalese business leaders recognized and respected in their respective fields, united to strengthen the national private sector and position it as a central driver of Senegal's economic emergence.
