At the ordinary general assembly of the Club des Investisseurs du Sénégal (CIS) held on January 14, 2022, in Dakar, architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa, 75, assumed the presidency of the organization, succeeding Babacar Ngom, head of the Sedima group. The board of administrators, composed of 12 members, unanimously chose the designer of the African Renaissance Monument.

Pierre Goudiaby Atepa, a graduate in architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, completed a thesis on the ideal African city. His signature is visible on numerous buildings across the continent, such as the headquarters of the BCEAO in Dakar.

Chairman of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) from 2015 to 2018 and former special advisor to President Abdoulaye Wade, the iconic Senegalese billionaire has a rich network spanning from the Atlantic to the Congo River. His election as president of the CIS marks a turning point for this organization, founded and led by Babacar Ngom, who has made significant contributions.
